A Service Company
CPU Industries and MKL.Net have over
20 years of
experience in setting up critical networks. We have set up 5 user, as well
as 500 user Local Area Networks on mix of operating system
platforms. Our experience includes Novell, NT Server, BSDI Unix, Linux, FreeBSD, NT
Information Server; LAN & WAN design and implementation, Firewall
Installations and Project Management.
Our growing MKL.Net Internet Service is a fine example of a fast,
reliable network we have installed. There is a wide range of proven
application services available: Streaming of Media, Secured Socket
Layer, Custom Programming, VeriSign Setup and Shopping Cart
Configuration.
Real Ethernet
is the newest and most exciting part of the MKL Network. Now we
can offer high speed, wireless Internet access to the Tri-town area.
History
The company was founded in November of 1987 as a computer reseller.
It grew into a Networking VAR (Value-Added Reseller),
installing LANs (Local Area Networks) to local small businesses, educational
institutions as well as larger government and Fortune 1000 facilities.
In the early 1990s, the System Administrator became interested in
communications technology, and "Mad
King Ludwig's Catskill Mountain
Kingdom" was founded in form of a computer bulletin board system.
While the BBS idea became popular
among local educational institutions, there was a demand to communicate
with the outside world. From there, it was only a small step to
become an Internet Service Provider. The MKL.Net Internet
Service was created in April of 1996, and has since grown into a customer
base of thousands of dialup and business subscribers, with 350 local
dial-up lines.
