My
year as ER is beginning to wind down. I have been trying to tie up some
loose ends before my year is up and before the new ER takes over. We
are still looking for someone to take over the Wednesday Night Member's
Dinners. This is the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Ralph and George
have volunteered to do it for now, but not long term. Thank you, Ralph
and George. We do not want to stop having these dinners for members,
but if no one is willing to help out with this, then we may have to.
Secondly, we still need a Friday Night Kitchen Chairman. We have had
two new members volunteer to help out in the kitchen, Fred Smith and
Bob Basile. Thanks guys! A breakfast buffet was held at the Lodge on January 16. Thanks to Robin Miner and his crew for working the breakfast. The next breakfast will be in the Spring, for the Delaware Valley Humane Society. It's almost that time again - Dues. Due the 1 st of April. Form to pay your dues will appear in the bulletin. Fraternally,
Sue Fletcher, ER fletcher@mkl.com |

| AUXILIARY NEWS
Our meeting on January 10th was well attended by 19 members. Thank you
all for attending. It is so nice to see so many people during these
cold winter days. And thank you to Sylvia Roberts for filling in as
Chaplain and Correspondence Secretary.
I just want to thank all of the Auxiliary officers, our executive board, and special committee members for all that you do. Each of you donate many hours of your time and we want you to know that this is appreciated by all of us. We have a wonderful group of members that are always very willing to help in any way that they can to make sure that we accomplish all that we try to do each year. Our local group of knitters and crocheters are still in need of yarn. If you can donate to this worthy cause, please bring in yarn at our next meeting. I will make sure this gets to Sally Provenson who will take it to the knitting/crocheting group. The Gun Show will be Saturday, Feb. 13, 2005: Sharon Harris and Eleanor MacDonald have volunteered to work in the kitchen for this event. Thank you for donating your time for the Auxiliary. I will purchase the food and beverages. Our Craft Show will be Saturday, March 12, 2005: Robin Little has received several applications and has been very busy getting the plans all set for this show. She will be displaying flyers at many local stores, etc. with all the craft show information. If you need any flyers to distribute, please contact Robin. Nancy Francisco and Sylvia Roberts will be available to take phone calls for questions and information about the show. Caroline Harrington and Dale Rigas have volunteered to work at our bake sale. Dale Rigas will also be organizing and selling tickets at the Chinese Auction during the Craft Show which will be located near the bake sale. We will be asking each crafter to participate in this. As we discussed in our meeting, I have placed a big box near our supply cabinet in the back room for members to bring in coffee cans that Dale will decorate to be used for the Chinese Auction. We will need volunteers again to work in the kitchen. We have decided to keep the same menu as last year. Please let me know at the next meeting if you can help. The kitchen is open from 10:00 a.m. til closing. We will have a sign-up list available. Committees: Robin Little, Jean Selleck, and Sylvia Roberts have volunteered to be on the nominating committee. They will have a list of candidates at our February meeting. Elections will be at our March meeting. Our kitchen committee volunteers, Sharon Harris and Dale Rigas, are working on a project hat we discussed in our recent meeting and will submit their information at our next meeting. |

Bring you favorite homemade soup and share it with everyone. This is the day you're allowed to brag all you want about how good of a cook you are. But...at the end of the day we will see which pot is empty. For those of you who don't cook, come and enjoy some of the finest soups ever made. Thanks, Garry |

time learning as they played. The next tournament will be Sunday,
February 13th at 4:00p.m.. The format is two 45 minute sessions with a
15 minute break in between for a meal. It is a $30 buy in and prizes
are awarded according to the chip leaders at the individual tables.

| SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT DUES Once again the dues for 2005-2006 are being printed right on the bulletin instead of receiving an individual mailing. This invoice is for Sidney members only and not for friends, widows, or members from other lodges who receive our bulletin. This is being done once again to save the Lodge about $150 in the cost of stamps, not to mention the high cost of invoice forms and envelopes. Last years dues collection was a huge success and I hope we can continue it again this year. On your bulletin you receive in the mail, just tear (or cut) off the form which already has your name on it, and mail it along with your check payable to: Sidney Elks Lodge No. 2175 Attn: Todd Henchey, Secretary 104 River Street Sidney, NY 13838 Below you will find the costs for the upcoming year 2005-2006. If you are unsure what type of member you are, or how much your dues are, please contact me Sunday mornings between 8:00a.m. - 10:00a.m. at 563-2175 and I will be happy to help you. Fraternally, Todd J. Henchey, PER, Secretary DUES for 4/1/05-3/31/06 Regular - $40 Honorary Life Member - $16 Life Member-$16 |
