Drugs are Killers - Watch Your Children

It's that time of the year again. A time for change, leaving winter behind and springs beginning, a new exalted ruler and slate of officers. As I sit here and try to write my first message, I have a lot of thoughts going through my mind. The first thing I would like to do, is tell PER Sue Fletcher what a wonderful job she and the Lodge officers did even through all the adversities. For being our Lodge's first female ER she deserves a lot of credit, she did a great job. I know as Esquire on this year's slate of officers she will continue to do a wonderful job in the true Elk spirit.
I challenge the new Lodge officers to do as good a job as Sue and her Lodge officers did this past year. Some of the names are the same, however, they hold different positions. The current slate of Lodge officers has a couple of openings. We are looking for some volunteers to hold the Chaplain, Treasurer, and a few Statutory Committee positions. Please contact myself or any other Lodge officer to volunteer. To the Lodge officers and all Lodge members I want to say, I am going to do my best to conquer all the challenges that come our way. Those challenges can't be done by myself or the Lodge officers, but with all the people in our Lodge working together they can be accomplished. We ALL need to pitch in and help out in any way we can to make our Lodge be even better heading into the future.

Fraternally,
Ralph Gschwind,ER
