Drugs are Killers - Watch Your Children

The month of July is upon us and it is time to celebrate Independence Day. On July 4,1776, we claimed our independence from England and Democracy was born. With all that is going on in the world today, let us remember the wonderful country we live in and all of those who have and are serving this country so that we may have our independence.
In July I will be attending the National Convention in St. Louis, Missouri. I am honored that I will be representing the Sidney Lodge #2175. There will be many meetings that I will be attending. I will give a full report next month on any pertinent information.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the members that stepped up to the plate at the Lodge during my absence last month. I really appreciate it. THANK YOU!

Fraternally,
Wayne Hubbell, ER, PER, PSVP

Ladies Auxiliary News

Before our last meeting of the summer, we enjoyed a delicious Covered Dish Supper. As usual, we had a wonderful variety of food.
Brenda Philpott gave an excellent update on the Alumni Breakfast we will be serving in July. She still has some slots to be filled for cooking, serving, etc., so if you can help, please give her a call.
Margaret Jester reported on the Scholarship Committee and we will be announcing the winners next month.
The Auxiliary hosted the annual Father's Day Buffet on Sunday, June 15th and it was enjoyed by all attending. Once again, a special thanks to Garry Stevens for all his help, especially for making the delicious doughnuts. Also, many thanks to all who worked to make it a success.
