It
is truly hard to believe that December is upon us. Like November,
December is another month of many American Traditions. It is a time for
giving. Most of us celebrate the Christmas Holiday with decorated
trees, all kinds of ornaments and holiday decorations throughout our
houses and yards. And of course, it wouldn't be Christmas without the
white stuff on the ground. Although, I know most of us could do without
the snow and colder temperatures, but to our children and grandchildren
it just wouldn't be the same. As you look around our Lodge, you will
notice a box of unwrapped Christmas toys and a box of nonperishable
food. For those members who have already given, I Thank You. For those
members who haven't given yet, now is the time to give to those who
happen to be less fortunate than ourselves, Just like our families who
have many presents under our trees and food on our tables, the less
fortunate would like to have just 1 present to open or 1 meal to put on
the table. Together, we can make that dream come true with the true
spirit of GIVING. At this time, I extend to all members and their families of our Lodge a Happy Holiday Season and wishes for a Healthy and Prosperous New Year. Enjoy the time spent with family and friends, be careful in your holiday travels, and do the holiday decorating with Safety in mind. Fraternally,
Ralph Gschwind, ER

Our Halloween party was a success with 115 children and 40 adults attending. Thanks to everyone who assisted with this evert. I am not going to try and list everyone individually as I do not want to forget anyone. Our Spaghetti dinner was once again a huge success. There were 225 people who attended the dinner. This was an outstanding crowd considering a large number of people were supporting the Sidney Warrior Football team out of town. Special Thanks to the Franklin crew for another fine meal and all those who attended. Jan Gorshack
Drug Awareness Chairman P.S. - A special thanks goes out to Dick Huyck who has been a big behind the scenes helper for the D.A.R.E. carnival, Halloween Party and the Spaghetti Dinner. |
