2006 NYC Bus Trip

Cost
$350.00
per
person for transportation, lodging, and sightseeing. Travel will
be
via deluxe air-conditioned motor
coach. Lodging will be at the Amer-suites; Food
expenses
are to be handled personally by each student maintained and
administered. There are plenty of restaurants, deli's, and
cafe's
to choose from. A minimum of $50 is needed. The pizza parties
and breakfast at the hotel will be paid for by the bus
trip.
Cost of souvenirs, camera supplies, and other extras are the direct
responsibility of each student and must be in addition to the
food
requirement. You must have enough money in traveler's checks
or other non-negotiable funds to last you the three days with
you
at departure. CHAPERONES Four
Rotarian
Chaperones will supervise 90 students. TYPE OF DRESS Casual
wash
and wear clothing is recommended . **NOTE**
No shirts or clothing with offensive designs. BAGGAGE
One (1) large and one (1) small carry on bag per person. RULESNO DRINKING, DRUGS, or GAMBLING...Doors must remain open
when
members of the opposite sex are in the
room. No exchanging of room assignments. You
must
be in your assigned room at the time designated by the tour
leaders...This
is an educational scenic tour. It is not a night life
review.
Infractions of any of the above rules could result in the student being
sent
home early, at the expense of the exchange student. ITINERARY
Departing from and returning to Walmart Plaza, Oneonta, NY, Northgate plaza
Upper Front Street, Binghamton, Syracuse, and Wegmans in Rush-Henrietta,
NY,
and Clark Summit, PA. *NOTE*
Busses will leave Oneonta at 7:00 AM, Northgate
Plaza at 8:00 AM, Syracuse
at
6:30 AM, and Henrietta at 5:00 AM. Clark Summit
at 9:15 AM. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes
prior
to departure. We have a time commitment and
luggage must be loaded. The busses
will not wait. FRIDAY,
OCTOBER 27 Travel to New York City, lunch at hard Rock Cafe, Tour of the United Nations,
dinner on your own in Manhattan Mall,
Broadway musical BEAUTY & THE BEAST. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28
Continental Breakfast at the hotel, appear on the CBS EARLY SHOW, tour Rockefeller center
&
5th Ave. Guided tour of Manhattan, including
China Town, Central Park, Wall
Street,
Greenwich Village, Soho ect... Metropolitan
Museum of Art, American Museum of Natural History, free time for dinner
at
Times Square, Empire State Building for a night
view of the Big Apple, Pizza party at the hotel. SUNDAY, OCTOBER 29 Continental Breakfast at the hotel, Statue of Liberty, lunch
stop,
Sky Scraper Museum, South
Street Seaport. Depart for home, dinner stop. Arrive
at
Northgate Plaza at 8:00 PM, Syracuse at 9:30 PM,
Oneonta at 9:00 PM, and Henrietta at 11:00 PM. RESERVATIONSStrictly on a first come
first
served basis by mail. Seats fill up quickly.
Confirmed
in order of receipt. Phone orders are NOT
accepted.
Students will not have a choice of which bus they will be on.

will be determined by location of student

Your host Rotary Club Chairperson must sign your
application.
Payment in full must accompany each
application, along with a copy of student card, and
insurance
card. Partial payments will not be accepted. the absolute
deadline
is October 1, 2003. Those students that are not one of the first
90
to mail their payment and applications will be placed on an alternate
list.
So mail early to guarantee your seat. SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
At commercial rates our tour would cost more than $950.00 plus
meals.
Careful planning and Rotary volunteers have
reduced the rate to the lowest
possible
amount. Despite careful planning there may be
some inconveniences. We hope these are very few and that you will
have
a happy, interesting, and long remembered trip to
New York City.
LIMITS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
This
is
not an officially sanctioned trip by the Youth Exchange Programs of
Rotary
Districts 7170, 7120, 7140 or Rotary
International. Rotary District 7170 and it's
officers and trip
chairman
in arranging travel accommodations or in rendering other
services in connection therewith, do so as agents
for the individual
desiring
such travel accommodations upon the express
condition and agreement that it shall not be liable
for any injury,
loss,
damage, accident, delay, irregularity, or expense arising
from the use of any travel facilities,
accommodations, or services
provided
in connection with such individual's travel plan, nor
any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay,
irregularity, or expense
arising
from strikes, war, weather, quarantines, sickness
government restrictions or regulations, or from any
act or omission of
any
individual firm or corporation furnishing transportation,
sightseeing, hotel accommodations, or any other
services in connection
with
such travel plan, or any other cause beyond it's own
control. The right is reserved to amend the
advertised itinerary
whenever
advisable/ Rotary District 7170 and it's officers and
Trip Chairperson are not responsible for refunds
which might be due
tour
members from transportation companies, and for
unused travel facilities, accommodations, and
service. All such
claims
for refunds must be made by the individual for whom
the travel plan is prepared in accordance with the
rules and
regulations
of such transportation companies or company, firm, or
corporation furnishing such travel, facility,
accommodation, or
service.
Baggage and articles carried by the individual during
the tours are "at own risk". All costs, rates,
tariffs, and other
charges
are subject to adjustment at any time without prior notice.
The passage contract in use by the bus company
concerned, when issued,
shall
constitute an acceptance of this limitation or
responsibility.
